LACY VALENTINE!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Here is a special little project that I just worked on over this weekend!  I made a sweet little dress for my tiny Betsy McCall doll from a Wren Feathers pattern.  I thought it would be fun to try.

As you can see, I call it Lacy Valentine!  I used red wool felt for the handsewn dress, and added lace and rick rack to the bottom.  I made the flower and leaves from ribbon, added a picot-edge ribbon sash, and added a little hip decor with another ribbon flower.  The straps are ribbon and her head band is wool felt.

I enjoy sewing by hand, and love to make dolls, clothes, and cute little things like bunnies and hearts!

Back view.  This dress closes with a snap.

So, here she is, my Lacy Valentine!!!  BTW, she is an 8" doll.

Until the next project ...
