Retro Chairs

Hello!  Happy Friday!

Brrrrr ... it's gotten quite chilly here and looking out of my window - looks like snow!!!  I don't think it will, but it just looks that way.

I had a lovely conversation the other evening with Elizabeth of Creative Breathing.  Gosh, I love this gal!  We had a great time reminiscing about childhood and growing up in the 50's and 60's.  I am just stuck in that time era - I love everything done in that era!  The movies, clothes, houses, furniture, decor, Mom's cooking .... and on and on.

That brings me to my two new chairs!  I found them on CL but when I first saw them, it was a lounge set - a table and 4 chairs.  I only wanted two.  The seller graciously agreed to sell me just two.  Did I say that they totally match my coffee and end table????  Same style, color of wood, with the little black flecks in the finish.  Cane backing, and this is awesome - on casters!!!  The good old fashioned kind that really roll easily!!!  When we met for the pick up, she turned out to be just a sweetheart!!!  I was quite happy with my find, her sale, and the fact that she was so sweet - I got right into a HUG mode!!!  So, let's see these new chairs:

I forgot to mention that they are PINK and match my sofa beautifully!!

Here are the two of them with my Mom's pink Santa and one of my retro trees.

Here is the chair beside the coffee table.  See how they match??!!!

I haven't even polished them or anything yet.  They just sit the so nicely!  LOL  I love how I can roll them around, which will be great when running the vacuum.  Oh, and in case you were wondering ... YES, they are comfy!!!  My living room is a sort of eclectic mix of 60's and early 70's.  My hutch and two curio cabinets are from the early 70's (they were bought new for me) as are the coffee table, end table, and chairs, I believe.  My pink sofa is from the 60's as are some of the decor items like my mirrored shadow box.  I think before I'm done, every available space left here will have a vintage shadow box in it!!!! LOL  I don't care, I love them!!!!

Anyway, I'm off to play with my paper houses that I want to add to my bottle brush trees.  They are NOT putz houses, but are darling nevertheless.  You shall see when I finish!!

Everyone please stay well, and enjoy doing stuff for the holiday season!  LOL

I'll be back .........
