Hello again!!

Hello again!!

Had a little fun today - my friend, Cathy, and I went off on a "hunt" to look at a chair she found on CL.  Unfortunately, the chair did not measure up, so we got out of there in a hurry!  On the way back we had seen a rather large Salvation Army store, so we headed there.  I was in heaven because I found some nice "pickies" to pick through!  My grandmother used to say I was "in glory hole" when I was picking through any manner of little goodies.  I sure was!  Plus, I found another retro shadow box to add to my collection!  LOL  Yes, this is becoming the home of the shadowbox!  So, I'll share with you my goody pile.

It's a Turner, from the early 60's-I plan to paint it gold, except for the end panels.

Craft books ...

Some cute crafty books on Chenille animals and seasonal figures-wahoo!

Mary Engelbreit DVD ...

It's from her Mother Goose book-it looks so cute!

The Pickies ...

An old pom pom maker, vintage rickrack, binding, and trim, some little snowflakes, little wooden guys, teensy mouse angel, and candy canes!

One last pickie ...
A little Strawberry Shortcake Doll to be cleaned up and dressed!

Here are shots of my other two shadow boxes ...

This is also a Turner, I painted it gold.  It has vintage glass on it and two Cameo Lady Head vases.

This one is a beauty-all mirrored.  This has my retro glass, 2 vintage Lady Head vases, a vintage Whitehall budvase from England, and a cute vintage elephant.

So, there you have it!  I think it was a good picking day!!!

Have a wonderful rest of the weekend!!!

    1. Hi Sharon! I wasn't a blogger myself for ages. But I just had to take the plunge! Maybe at some point you will, too! Yes, Miss E's precious Owl-he actually fluttered all over when he arrived, and finally settled down where he is. Miss E was such an encouragement to me and I'm excited to begin my blogging journey. That is cool that you lived here at one time. Yes, it's getting pretty with all of the color changes going on. But also getting a bit nippy, too! LOL
